Modelled here by historian & author Martin
F. Marix Evans for a forthcoming Osprey publication, this is easily
my most regular piece. Just as popular with both collectors and
re-enactors, this English Civil War ‘three-barred pott’ is
based on a helmet in the Littlecote House collection in Wiltshire
England, (now housed at The Royal Armouries in Leeds). This helmet
is comprised of a hand forged two-piece folded skull, fixed stepped
neck tail, one-piece fall/peak with attached three-barred face
cage, and solid cheek-pieces, suspended and lined with buff leather.
This is a meticulous and faithful reproduction in all respects.
(24” internal circumference as standard).
